Recreation, in conjunction with Built By Me, will offer STEM Learning programs during winter 2026. Location: Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue, lower level, Craft Room 2. Fee: $165 per student/per class. 10 students maximum per class.
The Inventors Club Winter 2026 Edition — Grades 2 to 5. Sessions: Tuesdays from January 6 to February 10 (Make up, if needed 2/24), 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Lower Level, Craft Room 1. Ignite your child's creativity through STEM and hands-on innovation! Each week, young inventors will build fun, challenging projects that blend science, engineering, and design thinking—creating gadgets and simple machines that stretch their imagination. Through step-by-step activities, children build confidence, spark curiosity, and strengthen problem-solving skills. Every session ends with a take-home invention. New projects each season! LEGO® Robotics and Coding - Amazing Engineers — Grades 1 to 3. Sessions: Tuesdays from January 6 to February 10 (Make up if needed 2/24), 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fridays from January 9 to February 13 (Make up if needed 2/27), 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This fun, interactive STEM program introduces students to coding and robotics using LEGO® Spike Essential sets. Working in pairs, young engineers will build models like a swing or submarine, define problems, brainstorm solutions, and test prototypes to improve their ideas. Kids will gain confidence and stretch their creativity as they build and program their projects. Join us for an inspiring journey!
LEGO® Robotics and Coding - Adventures In Space — Grades 3 to 5. Sessions: Tuesday from January 6 to February 10 (Make up if needed 2/24), 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Friday from January 9 to February 13 (Make up if needed 2/27), 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. This hands-on STEM program uses LEGO® Spike Essential sets to explore space-themed builds like lunar rovers. Students will construct and code their models with Scratch MIT to navigate obstacles, taking on a new space project each week. Through building, programming, and testing with a partner, they'll develop coding and problem-solving skills while gaining confidence and an appreciation for space. Join us for an inspiring journey!
