Overview
Sierra Nevada Journeys offers a variety of summer camp experiences that combine hands-on learning with outdoor adventure. Campers enjoy exciting activities like ropes courses, zip lining, and scaling towers, while also building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills through social-emotional learning.
Summer Day Camps for ages 6–12 are offered in Reno and Sacramento, providing a fun, local option for young campers to explore nature and STEM-based activities during the day.
The Girls in STEM Program, designed for girls ages 11–14, is a weekend experience that blends science and technology learning with outdoor adventure. Campers build new friendships, learn from guest speakers working in STEM fields, and discover how exciting and accessible science can be.
For a more immersive experience, overnight summer camps for ages 8–18 take place in Portola, CA, just a 50-minute drive from Reno. These week-long camps are packed with outdoor play, education, and unforgettable adventures in a beautiful mountain setting.
