Overview
Tech Academy (formerly Computer Explorers) of Minnesota has been enriching children with technology and science classes and summer day camps for over 20 years. What began as a mission to bring hands-on technology education to young learners has grown into one of the largest STEM summer camp providers in the Upper Midwest, hosting over 300 camps annually at more than 100 locations throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
We believe learning should be fun, innovative, challenging, and hands-on. Our project-based technology education classes bring students together in small groups to reinforce core academic skills while learning invaluable 21st century competencies.
We offer 30 different classes and camps across a wide range of STEM topics:
* Programming & Coding: Java, Python, Web Design, Scratch, and Mobile Game Development. From drag-and-drop coding for ages 4+ to text-based programming for teens.
* Minecraft: Creative design, redstone logic, command blocks, mod development, stop-motion movies, and Java coding within Minecraft worlds.
* Robotics: LEGO Mindstorms EV3, VEX Robotics, programmable floor robots, BattleBots, and RC Spybots with sensors and obstacle courses.
* Engineering: Solar engineering, rollercoaster building, K'NEX structures, and creative problem-solving challenges in a team environment.
* Digital Film Making: Digital film production, stop-motion animation, video editing, and storytelling. Students create their own movies from start to finish.
* 3D Design & More: 3D printing, video game design, and additional STEM topics that inspire creativity and technical skills.
