Overview

When kids make something, they get excited! Our syllabus is divided into projects; each eventually becomes a product kids can share with family and friends. Why project-based learning? Because as students focus on creating a game they can show to their friends, they're learning other skills necessary for other STEM classes. That's why most of our class time is dedicated to projects rather than lessons. The ML4K training program has 3 major sections: Machine Learning with Scratch (S), Machine Learning with Python (P) and Mass Science Fair Competition preparation (C). Placement to the program is done based on the student's skills.

* Machine Learning with Scratch: We'll start the training course by learning how to teach computer to play Rock, Paper, Scissors and recognize cartoon characters. 12 classes per course. Suggested for grades 2-5. Classes meet weekly on Tuesdays.

* Python for Machine Learning: After learning the basic concepts, we will move to working with popular modern machine learning frameworks. 12 classes per course. Suggested for grades 6-12. Classes meet weekly on Wednesdays.

* AI and Machine Learning: Anyone can do data science and AI! With coding or no coding we will do a lot of visualizations and interactive data exploration! The course will be hands-on. 12 classes per course. Suggested for grades 6-12. Classes meet weekly on Wednesdays.
