Older students will attend Mission: Near Space, which, for 8th-10th graders culminates in the launch of a high altitude weather balloon. IMSA, Illinois Math and Science Academy Summer@IMSA offers week-long summer science and technology programs for rising 3rd-8th graders in Aurora (at IMSA), Chicago, Belleville and Springfield. Science and Arts Academy This K-8 private school for gifted children offers variety of camps with extended day options.
SEEK a project of NSBE, the National Society of Black Engineers, SEEK will take place July 18-August 5 at Miles Davis Magnet Academy. It’s a three-week commuter program for students in grades 3-5. Students will work in teams, using their knowledge to solve problems and create products while discovering the underlying math and science principles involved in these processes.
