Overview
Our program has the familiar format and feel of summer camp, but is designed to genuinely teach campers about STEAM topics! If your child is five or over, they will learn about robotics, coding, science, 3D printing, studio and graphic art, video game design, and more through fun, project-based activities. Junior campers (3-4 year olds) focus on science, engineering, art, and preschool academic subjects like letters and numbers. Of course, it is summer, so your child will spend plenty of time outside learning about nature, getting fresh air, and playing summer camp games!
* Ages: We accommodate children ranging from ages 3 to 13 years old. Campers are grouped based upon their age.
* Schedule: Most of our summer camps start by the second week in June and run through August. Our standard day runs from 9:00am - 3:00pm (with extended day options).
* Camp Sites: Camps in the suburbs or country are typically held on properties with plenty of dedicated outdoor space. In the city we usually host our camps at beautiful independent schools that are park adjacent.
* Teachers: Lead instructors are typically certified teachers or have equivalent experience. They must have a background in project-based learning and bring extra unique skills to their lessons.
* Ratios: Hands-on projects demand more helping hands! For our STEAM summer camp program, we practice a 4 or 5:1 camper to staff ratio depending upon the age group.
* Topics: Coding, robotics, digital and studio art, science, engineering, 3D printing, video game design, filmmaking, sustainable energy, and more.
