Overview
Inspiring and preparing K-12 students to pursue post-secondary education in STEM fields through summer programs, exploration events and more.
Engineering Academy is a summer camp that brings together high school students from across the greater Seattle area for a five-day introduction to engineering. Participants will engage in hands-on design challenges, build connections with engineering students and faculty, tour the UW campus, and explore how different engineering disciplines make an impact!
This 2-day event in the spring is oriented toward 4th-8th grade students and draws up to 10,000 visitors to campus each year. UW engineering students and faculty share their work with students, teachers, families and the community, featuring hands-on activities that demonstrate the exciting work of engineers.
Engineering Ambassadors (EAs) engage students from K-12 schools and community and technical colleges to promote engineering and inspire future Huskies. Reach out to schedule an on-campus event for your students, participate in a walking tour, or meet with an engineering student one-on-one!
